“Flying Home” Acrylic painting by artist Kimberly Sumerel. I am often asked if my art designs on canvas are planned. I don’t always pick up a brush with a pre- determined object in mind to paint, but there are times when I just turn some music on and clear my mind of things….and just paint. If I am painting a design to be transferred to my fashion bags, I do pay attention more to size of objects and what will look good on the bags as well as color. But, when painting other art designs on canvas, anything goes. This painting and others will be premiered and offered for sale Nov 14-15, 2015 at the Heathrow Lake Mary Art Festival.
